Where in the heck do you fill the A/C with 134a?
I cant find the nipple anywhere. Can some one help?

You're going to love this. You have to jack up the front passenger side, take off the wheel and splash guard, and you'll see it inside behind the bumper. You can do it by just peeling back the splash guard, but it isn't easy.

Or simply lie on your back and fit the hose up on top of the accumulator. No parts removed at all, and no jack.

Remove engine, drop fuel tank and remove the left rear parking brake assembly to access the low pressure port located near the right front wheel.

That's just crazy. Thanks for all the help. Now I know why I could not find it.

Or use cutoff wheel n make an access flap

Yeah, kinda stupid they didn't extend the tube and bend sideways so it fit in a precut hole in inner fenderwell there. It would've even resulted in more accumulator sales when people sideload the part and crack it if designed right. Ford engineer asleep that day from too much partying the night before.........

I am not a big fan of fords they always seem to do crazy thinks on all their cars and trucks. I do like buying Focus station wagons and fixing them up and re-selling. People love small wagons to bad most manufacturers stopped making them.

Highball116 09-07-2013 10:03 AM

Yes, I've found that owners of the old Escort wagons really like their cars. They're just the right size, but unfortunately the head gaskets pop like corn at a multiplex. Or cherries on prom night, whichever you prefer.
