This is fantastic, DerrekForreal! If you'd like me to make your feedback "official", send me a PM with your name, phone number, and any details you'd like me to include about your experience. I'll document this in our system under your dealership's name.

I know this is an older thread but I think it's relevant to add, My 2010 SES with 41,000 miles just got diagnosed with this same issue, leak around timing chain cover, the fix is the front end engine crankshaft seal kit, lots of labor, estimate total $1,000. Ford 5 year warranty expired two months ago, I'm still in talks with Ford Warranty to see if it's covered. This car has never sat parked without being driven for more than 3 days so seals drying out doesn't make sense. I bought this Focus new from the dealer the only miles that were on it were the miles to drive it from one dealership to the one I bought it from. It has been well maintained, all recommended regular maintenance has been performed on time. The car is used to drive to work daily, run errands, pick kids up from school, all city residential short trips, work is 1 mile each way. I bought this focus as a fun to drive low/easy maintenance alternative to a toyota corolla or honda civic which in 2010 the focus was by far the more lively of the bunch. I expected it to easily make it to 200K without any major mechanical issues, I had a 2005 Focus ZX4 SES which had no major issues through 100K and figured this one would be as good or better.

My concern is if this is happening now, what's next, what else might be wrong with this car or perhaps all models from the facility where it was assembled?
