Exclamation Grinding noise while turning and breaking

Hi Guys,

have a 2000 zx3 that is making heavy grinding noises when i turn to the right and when i brake. it sounds like it is coming from drivers front side, im thinking wheel bearing, what do you all think?

That and possibly the rotor/caliper.....pads worn down to metal to metal......

thanks! would that cause the noise when turning right (pressure on drivers front wheel) and no brakes applied?

Depending if its the rotor or the bearing. I would jack up the front driver's wheel, remove the wheel and inspect.....guaranteed you'll "see" what the problem is. But, if you don't, rotate the wheel by spinning it and listen for the grinding noise. Check the wheel bearing for play and inspect the cv axle as well.

CV joint. The bad axle will make noise when the weight transfers to it e.g. left turn; right axle bears weight and grinds.
