Ford Escape Keyless Entry Relay?
I know this isn't a Focus question, but I'm looking for a quick answer, and I'm hoping someone on here knows what my problem is.
I was in a small accident in my '02 Escape, and I'm in the process of being reimbursed by insurance/fixing everything. I've got it back together mostly, and the necessary parts are on the way, but I noticed that when locking it using the key fob, the lights don't flash and the horn doesn't honk. It does lock/unlock the doors as expected -- just no feedback.
I'm thinking there's a relay or something that controls this? Anyone?
it is probably just a setting that can be changed with a series of button pushes. Check the owners manual. There is generally a way to cycle settings like that on and off.
I did some perusing on Escape-Central, and it doesn't look to be configurable.
Apparently it won't honk/flash lights if the hood/hatch/door is open. All of my doors are closed. Maybe I have a bad hood switch sensor?
