Wheel vibration under no load....
First off, I searched and searched and couldn't find the identical problem.

While at any kind of speed, when there is no load of acceleration or braking, just coasting, there is a vibration from the front right wheel. I check the lugs and it's tight... I rotated the wheels and that did nothing...

CV Axle? Wheel bearing?

I'm kinda at a loss on this one...

2003 Zetec ATX.

my GUESS would be CV axle... bearings would be a loud growling like noise. what if you switch the front tires side to side? or just simply check the balance on them.

Possibly lost a weight for the wheel balance? It's funny I had my car in the mud one time and had some mud caked on the inside of one of the wheels. It was enough to throw off the tire balance.

sounds like a REALLY bad bearing to me. Jack up the front of the car and give the wheels a good shake. They shouldnt move at all side to side or up and down. if they do, you need bearings.

Replacements hubs aren't too expensive. I'll try that first.

Jack up the wheel and grasp it at 12 and 6 o'clock try to rock the wheel, if it moves at all the bearing is bad. CV joints will not cause a vibration and wheel bearings don't always make noise when they fail.

I'd check wheel bearings.

I jacked it up and there is a bit of movement in the wheel. I already ordered the new wheel bearing. Hopefully the lasts through my 200 mile drive tomorrow.
