Ebrake

So this last winter, I got stupid and went to do an ebrake slide in the snow, and when I jerked up on the handle i heard a snap and now the handle has no load. Well it failed inspection because of this, and I need to fix it. Where is the likeliest place this would've broken? I tried looking up the parts on rockauto but there is no service diagrams as to where and what pn's it takes to from handle to drums.

Thanks guys, any info will help.

I would get the car off the ground and check the cable. I would also take the center console out and chack at the handle too.

Yep - they started out plastic coated, but that'll start flaking off over time & then the rust monster gets 'em...

Probably time for a pair from the description, but check out the damages first of course....

Saves trips to the store..

(grin)

Luck!
