2002 auto trans solenoid question

I've read a lot about solenoid A going bad. I had the same code as most everyone who replaced just solenoid A. I have completed that repair and still have the same symptoms (dropping into nuetral while in 3rd and 4th gear).
My questions is- do both solenoid A+B need to be replaced at the same time?
Or is there a remedy I may have over looked?

Without plugging a diagnostic computer into the trans, it's mostly just shotgunning the common parts at the problem until it goes away.

Solenoid A is a common problem
Solenoid B is a common problem also
They do not need to be changed at the same time, but as soon as I need to do one of them, might as well do both at the same time.

The code was 0750 so I assumed solenoid A was the problem so I replaced it
After resetting the ECU the check light came back on with in 10 miles of driving with the same 3rd-4th gear problem.
Besides the trans getting goofy at 45-50mph when the O/D is engaged . It shifts great and pulls great now with with O/D turned off

Exclamation

Ok so I had the codes pulled again. Now it's solenoid B.. I suppose A+B should always be replaced at the same time. Now to find out if tithe part numbers are the same.

I had the exact same problem....code po750 (2003 spi auto). Replaced the A solenoid and changed fluid and filter, and she's shifting fine now. If your B solenoid is bad, I believe that is code po751. Change it, and hopefully that will fix your problem, and yes, the part number for A and B is the same.

Solenoid B has been replaced and white thunder has been restored to her former glory.
I believe it's a must to replace both solenoid A and B at the same time. It will save you time and money in the short and long term. A huge thank you to everyone who has posted about this problem. It's just as easy as everyone claims.
