Gauge cluster stuck

for a while now when ever it rains my gauges go crazy. this passed month or so it rained a lot and this week my gauges got stuck in place and my odometer doesn't show up now. The lighting works fine but it didn't tell me i was out of gas so I ran out of gas in the middle of a major road. I already unplugged the cluster to try and fix it but nothing, I checked fuzes and what not. nothing i thought of worked I probably over thought some of it. If you have any ideas let me know. Before it was random now it seems like its not going to fix itself like it used to.

The car is a 2004 Ford Focus ZTS 2.3 pzev with 108,000 miles on it and needs a new motor mount and oil change and inspection is due in two months. so hopefully I can do that in the next few weeks. I have another gauge cluster from a 02 ZX3 but the plugs dont match up and I believe the mileage is store in the cluster anyway.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
