Starting to suspect the ecu, what are the items I need to replace with the ecu for pats & alarm assuming I used a used same part number ecu? and what's the 4 digit key on the label for?

What's this supposed to do? I took it out and it made no difference,
pats is working because if I disconnect the transponder loop it wont crank!

Im not sure about the ecu, other than the key, have you tried a diag yet?

My kit is limited in it's capabilities but the ford guy said he'll borrow the proper kit and bring it round

The running issues turned out to be a missing hose from the inlet manifold, so it was sucking air, car starts and runs fine without the PATS controller, strange as that seems, doesn't really look like a ford focus anymore, and this is mid engined[IMG]IMG]http://gallery.myff.org/gallery/1396949/DSC_0088.JPG[/IMG][/IMG]
