If the VF ones work then just stick with those. So installing this will fix my horrible clunking sound/pop. It's really weird and sounds horrible. (just bought the car, new at stick)

VF are some of the best mounts out there. but another option are the Massive ones. I think they cost less than the VF but still provide a good rear dog bone mount.

"So installing this will fix my horrible clunking sound/pop" It may, it depends on if the mount is the cause. pop the hood, turn the car on using the E-brake get out and now open the TB by hand. how much rotation does the motor do when you rev? if the motor moves more than an inch or so then its likely a bad motor mount. this often leads to the passenger mount also going bad early.

This thread however is not to diagnose or even identify what mount to get. Rather it is a "How To". You can get help identifying specifics and other questions / problems with better results if you post a new thread or find one that is more accurate to your questions.

Alright thanks for your reply. I just recently found out I'm located near a Fswerks shop. I might just take it there to install the Vf Part mentioned in this thread.

It up to you, takes just a few min and fairly basic tools to swap out the rear mount. not sure what the fswerks shop would charge you for installation. Not to mention you already found a great how to, to follow.

I see that FSWERks also sells just the inserts. Are you sure they don't increase vibration to the body?
I had poly motor mount inserts on my Escort and it was harsh.

ANY poly mount will increase vibrations to the body.

Rear lower mount (torque strut/dog bone) does it LEAST as it primarily functions to control engine/trans. twisting under power & doesn't support it at all.

Well got the motor mount today and the Ford book says I should be able to pull the two bolts for the mount and be able to pull the motor mount. Well those two bolt's weren't a problem, also read the following thread of FF.

So removed the two motor mount bolts completely but the bracket bolts won't move at all, so decided to spray them with some PB Blaster and let it soak. At this point tried using a 13 socket and a cheater bar on my 3/8 drive, end up breaking the Snap on socket and still can't get the bolt's loose, I thought it broke loose, but it was my socket.

The motor mount won't come out with just removing the motor mount bolts. The bracket needs to rotate like in the instructions here

Any suggestions at this point I might have to pull the Cat to get more room to be able to get to the two bolts, can't get a 1/2 drive with socket in there, and bought another 3/8 drive 12 point 13 socket, moves the whole engine and trans but won't break the bolt loose.

Going to let it soak over night and see if that helps, doesn't seem to be able to penetrate to much since the bolt's are holding the bracket in place.

Any suggestions at this point would be appreciated.

Slide the closed end of a large wrench over the end of the ratchet to increase the length of the handle and increase the torque
