some dealerships may only have lube technicians (quicklane) on hand for saturdays and not the certified techs that need to do the job.

is it something that can be done on a saturday, yes. is it Ford's rule to not do so on a saturday, no.
Thanks for the helpful info

Thanks so much for all of this help everyone! Is this an update that must be completed at a dealership, or is it something that can be downloaded from syncmyride.com?

Again, thanks so much for the help! This is exactly why I went with the (then buggy) MFT!

Mis, I'm reading alot of complaints about people having problems with the MFT update more so then they previously had pre-update. Do you know of these problems? Has your dealership experienced any of these that you know of?

I'm one of those people that had a failed update to 2.11 and waiting for a new APIM.

Had my system updated this morning at the dealership. It took three hours. Tech said it was the first Focus he's reprogrammed so far. Mostly Edges up till now. So far I haven't had any frozen screens or refusals to respond to inputs. It seems it takes a little more time to respond to voice commands than before. I'll post again if anything significant arises.

I'm happy to hear the update has helped!

fastfords4me -

You may want to try a Master Reset. It may help with the response time for voice commands.

MENU > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > MASTER RESET.

A Master Reset will restore everything to factory defaults so you will have to pair your phone again. Let me know if you have any questions.

Fuse and Panel Location

I started my 2012 titanium hatchback and the touchscreen did not come on, same as if the car had not started. Remains off through driving and restarts. Call to Sync My Ride tech support suggested pulling the fuse for 30 to 40 seconds to get the system going and then updating from v2.10 to v2.11. This generally agrees with all I read on the forums.

On page 303 and 304 of the Owner's Manual fuse 67 is for Sync, Multifunction Display, etc. Fuse 79 is for Radio, Navigation, DVD player, Touch Screen, etc. Sounds like 79 is the right one. Any harm in pulling both?

Where is the fuse panel? Page 302 says the fuse panel is on the right side below the glove box. The right side of what? The only cover plate I see is on the right sidewall of the center console. The cover is in landscape orientation, the graphic in the manual shows the panel in portrait orientation. There is what looks like a small pry slot on the short side toward the front of the car. Light prying didn't pop it off. Is this the right place to continue prying? Thanks.
