How is it not a fix, it achieves exactly what you want it to? You want the radio off when you turn your car on. With the volume on mute that essentially means the "radio is off."

Those other issues have nothing to do with anything I said.

kbass24emtp - I'd like to order one too! Any Focus built after July 11th will have the latest version (2.11) installed. If you have any questions regarding the different trim packages, let me know!

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. We now have to just decide on a color. Sucks they discontinued the color we wanted for the titanium we like. Are they going to add a different blue other than just blue candy? I know its off topic.

Cappa, it's not a fix because the radio has an ON/OFF button
that does not work like every other car.
Retraining ourselves to turn the volume down
instead of turning it off in this car is annoying.
Please stop trying to sugar coat the issue. Ford
needs to fix this.

kbass24emtp,

I know how difficult choosing that perfect color can be! (Personally, my perfect color IS Blue Candy!) I was unable to locate any approved blue alternatives. I hope you find something suitable, and place your order. And once you have, feel free to send me your order number and dealer name/state so I can track it.

I don't understand why this firmware isn't pushed over the sirus connection or something though to all units however?? If directv can push updates to all receivers I would think you guys could adopt something like that. Or at least allow us to update it via usb for those with the know how.

Thank you.
HolyRoses -

The dealers have not received the latest update yet, but they should by the end of the week! The update is for software version 2.11. I don't have the build number as the technical service bulletin (TSB) has not yet been released.

As far as performing the update, the technology is not in placed to have the update sent directly to the system at this time. Hopefully this will be possible in the future!

I will post again when the update is available
Jaclyn

asjwalsh & cappa -

I stand corrected. The 2.11 update will fix the radio always on at start-up concern. (turn it off). I was just provided this information so I do apologize.

The update should be out by the end of this week!

asjwalsh -

The iPhone is known to hold a better connection when Reversed Paired. With this process the SYNC system looks for the phone instead of the phone looking for SYNC.

You would first need to perform a Master Reset:

MENU > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > MASTER RESET

Here are the steps for Reverse Pairing:

1. Press the add phone button in the upper left corner of the screen.

2. Press the find devices button near the bottom of the screen.

3. Set your phone's Bluetooth to "Discoverable Mode" at this time (iPhone is always discoverable)

4. SYNC will search and then display the name of your phone on the screen, go ahead and press on the tab that displays the name of your phone

5. Enter a pass key "1234" using the key pad displayed on the screen, and press "Enter", your screen will say "Pairing"

6. Your phone will ask for a PIN number, enter the same one you have entered on your screen, "1234", and press "OK" button on your phone

7. After pressing OK or enter on your phone, they will attempt to make the connection.

Hope this helps!
Jaclyn

Thanks for the updates Jaclyn! Looking forward to the update. Will our dealer contact us to schedule the update or should we contact them?

Thanks.

Yes. I believe what has been communicated is that all cars coming off the line after 7/11 have this update.

Also note that someone with this update has lost Sync Services functionality. Also note that not everyone with versio 2.10 has issues(including myself). A bit of lag if I perform too many activties in a short period of time, but no other issues to date.
