Oil in the Spark Plugs

HELP!!!!!!

I changed the plugs on my '05 ZX5 2.0L tonight. When I did, I found oil OUTSIDE of the plugs on 3 of the 4 plugs. How in the heck does oil get outside of the plugs?

I'm terrified that my motor is about to blow something major.

It was not much. Maybe 1/4 teaspoon. And it was outside of the sparkplugs. As in I pulled the boots and looked at the plug before removal and there was the oil.

Oil is nice and black.

Common guys!.......this is not a serious issue. It's simply the spark plug tube seals (in the camshaft cover) leaking a bit. For that small amount of oil mentioned by the OP, I would just ignore it at this time. Just check on it again in the future. A spark plug tube that is not quite a "tight" enough fit in the head may also allow some oil weepage up into the tube as well. If you want to address it you'll have to remove the camshaft cover......with some engines the seals are replaceable......with some, the whole cover has to be replaced. I'm not sure about the Duratec.
