Water flow through the heater core

Hey all,

I am getting ready to plumb the heater and AC in my 2000 Focus wagon and I need to know which way the water flows through the heater core. Is the upper the inlet or the outlet?

Thanks!
Mark

It doesn't matter, IMO, it would be best to put the inlet so that gravity would help it drain out the outlet, but it doesn't really matter. If it did matter, the hoses or connectors would be sized differently to keep from factory mistakes.

Just a thought... it would be more "self-purging" of air bubbles if the inlet was on the bottom.

What do you think?

Thanks for the info

Hello,

Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if the heater core was designed to have the water flow in one certain direction or not.

Any pics of your 4.6 wagon? Can't imagine how powerful that must be
