Note post #5 if it needs adjustment.

Check first for simple issues, like whether the rubber button on the tab that pushes the switch is still present & if the tab is still "square" to the pedal arm (might be bent).

Carpet out of place or a floor mat in the way can reduce pedal movement as well.

Yes the rubber is present and the white button seems in very good shape it is not broken.
