power window problem

I have a 2002 four door SE. The other day I shut the rear driver side door and the window just fell down and won't roll back up. I can lift it up and I taped it shut for now. I am wondering how bad and expensive this could possilby be if anyone knows. Thanks Tami

Same problem

I drive a 2000 XTS and had the same problem. The repair cost about $200. My mechanic told me that in my case the motor for the rear window became gummed up largely because I almost never opened that rear window. After the motor was replaced, he suggested periodically opening and shutting window. Hope this helps.
