Wisconsin lapping days

I finally got up enough courage to take my ZX3 to one of our clubs lapping days. It's a good deal. $55.00 gets you four 15 minute sessions. The track is a world class go kart track with nasty elevation changes and a nice variety of turns. Even with a ATX I was able to hold my own against most of the cars in my group. Except for a couple of STI's and a RX8. The final session turned into a marathon. I was having so much fun that I wasn't about to leave the track until they flagged me off. I ran flat out for 45 minutes before they closed the track for the day. A one minute run in an auto-x is going to seem kinda short from now on.

Have you thought about coming to Road America to run with the Northwoods Shelby Club? www.nwshelbyclub.com
It is coming up in a couple of weeks and is a blast.

The Azeni's were starting to get slippery near the end. Not real bad but noticeable.

Road America is out of my league. I might try Blackhawk Farms next year.

That sounds like fun!

BTW, I was just in New London over the weekend. Had to make a bathroom stop. AND....Why in the hell do they pronounce Shawano-Shawno??

Thanks for boosting our tourism rate. I have no idea on the pronunciation. I guess it's one of those "Wisconsin" things.
