what exactly is an aerocharger?

i was wondering what an aerocharger is, i have seen the web page for them but i was wondering how they work, and if anyone has one, and what is the cost going to be to get one on my ride, fully done up. what kind of power do they make to out wheels? is it better to go with a turbo?

aerocharger is a turbo, just a different style and self oiled much like a procharger. power seen is high 190's on low boost, 210whp on high boost. (stock injectors). cost...gotta find one used as they don't produce or sell them anymore.

It's a "variable vain" design. Which means at low impeller speeds it acts like a small turbo and at high impeller speeds it acts like a big turbo. Means you get boost sooner and it lasts longer. It's a very good turbo. I'm pretty sure they still produce the turbo itself though.

not too bad. Its the same price as any other turbo kit would cost if there were more out there.
