Forced Induction Information.

seen my last falure at getting a turbokit set up and tuned with the focus. *just disscouraged myself too much last time*

starting this summer im going to start collecting parts to build this kit.

pretty much ill be lineing a basing most of hte part around the items tom uses. and since we've got a dyno now but they dont have any chip tuning software for tuning. i was planing on using 36lbs injectors with a calibrated prom maf.i'd have ot drive about 1000 km or 750 miles i guess. to a center where i cna get it tune properly.

but ill make this quick, would hte focus surrive the drive? what's lowest amouant of boost i can run the car safely but half healthy? it'll be on a t3/t4 turbo or a gt66 turbo, but boost is boost.

It will survive the drive. Just dont go into boost. You wont go into boost unless you get on it. I drove a good 20 miles to get it tuned. It will run like crap, and eat alot of gas, but it should hold up. Why not have a chip mail ordered? check out www.modulardepot.com and look at the sct stuff. they sell custom chips for 325, or the whole sct pro package for 800. I would also look at getting at 42lbs injectors if you want to hit 200-230 whp safely. t3/t4, gt 66 turbos are way to big. A t3 super 60 can support around 280 whp, and spool pretty fast. Tom's kit comes with some sort of t3, and can hit 300 whp.

Also check the for sale thread, im selling a zetec manifold, and downpipe.

Tom himself might use a t3/t4 on his 400+whp car. But The one that comes with his kit is a t3 super 60 with some other stuff done to it. :)

I would drive it to where you are going on the stock MAF and injectors then change them there , When changing the the recal MAF this adds timing and will cause Deto

Do a pre fit of the mass air before you leave there is a differance in size
