nitrous wiring and set up questions

so i have a ZEX wet kit and i am gonna be running a 55 shot. i also have the purge, blowdown tube, and the MSD digital RPM window switch.

My question is how does the wiring work for the window switch. i want to be running at 2000 rpms and have it shut off at 6800 rpms. that seems like a good range to run it in. there are three wires coming off the window switch. i havent looked at the module yet. does someone have a wiring diagrahm for this to help me out.

also the purge, where should i do it, and can i do a dual purge off of just a regular one, would putting a T fitting in the line work?

How my NX kit is wired. I know ZEX uses a box, but it should be real similar.

I did mine a bit different. Stealing your cool pic, there 2.0slow, I'll show the differences.


I ran the power to the MSD box on a seperate circuit, so that the whole box isn't getting turned on and off every time the microswitch is toggled. Only the yellow wire goes thru the relay, the power and ground are constant with the key turned on.

I would shut it off BEFORE 6800.. Mine shuts off at 6200, but no higher than 6400 IMO, you want it off BEFORE the revlimiter.

Also, 2,000 may be a bit too low as well. 2800 or 3,000 would be my recomendation.

I shut mine down at 7000, but I have a raised rev limiter. (7600) I shift at around 6900 to 7k for every shift but the 1-2 I shift at 6700 for the 1-2.

2800 seems really high to me, i might do 2400. i will play with it and see. and i think 6800 is good because i only run to 6500 usually. i am gonna get a shift lite to help me with that stuff.

the thing with running 2000 or 2400 is you risk having a bog, which while spraying could signal the end of your manifold.
You also aren't running much airflow thru the intake at those rpm's, so your fuel may have a chance to puddle in the intake, that also could cause a nitrous backfire, another risk to the manifold. I have mine coming on at 3500 to 4000, since once I launch, the car never dips below 4000 rpm anyway.
