ive seen cars with 2.25" exhausts pushing 280BHP fly wheel from a CA18det, i dont know about how much PSI. people say 3" exhaust flows enough for 600BHP, but then it depends on the engine size.
332BHP at 6100RPM~ , 340Ft lbs of torque with 1.5Bar boost from a GT2860RS

Your probably safe with 5-8 psi. It should be fine but you won't get as much horsepower as if you had a 2.5" exhaust.
Performance:K&N conical filter, FC UDP (2 pc.), Focaltech P&P head, OBX race header, flexpipe, Borla exhaust,
Suspension: SVT rear sway bar, Prothane Rear swaybar bushings, KYB AGX shocks and struts, Tien-S springs, Focus Sport front and rear strut bars
ICE: Kenwood headunit with Sirius

If you can get it done ...3" is the way to go with a turbo, the bigger the exhaust pipe the quicker the spool and the better the flow.

Sure you can go turbo with a 2.25". I've run 20psi at times with mine. I never got any surge.
You get what you get Hp wise.
When you can put the bigger exhaust on, DO IT!
