Talking Newest Dyno

Today I went up to McNew's and got Dyno time. I'm happy w/ this thing so far, just a few more things need fixed before I can tune up the boost.

This is only w/ 7lbs of boost

BTW GREAT JOB Ray!

DYNO

looks to me like the dip is caused by the DSI switchover. see if mcnews can play with that a little bit, maybe hold it in long runner a little longer before switching over. runner length still makes a difference even on FI motors.

I am assuming you still have the stock manifold cuz a new one wasn't listed in your mods

I had a dip like that too.... except I dont have the DSI on mine, I have a custom intake by Tom.

We kept adding timing in that spot until it started to go away.... but we were monitoring for deto to make sure it wasn't the problem.... no sense blowing up a good motor.

Maybe Tom will chime in with some of his insight....

I had more timing in it and it was smoother but I was seeing some knock. Now there is none. I moved it back and it helped the power curve. The timing is very low. I think this car needs a better cat or ORP and also a bad tank of winter gas. This turbo also needs to work a little harder. I think its a little big for this boost.

^^^ I agree, definitly needs a free'r flowing exhaust and the gas could be bad.

Just how big a turbo does he have?
