Turbo installed...high idle

I finally have the kit installed, but now my car idles at like 2800 and flutuates from ~1000 to 3500rpms. I just discovered I have a fuel leak in the #1 injector, but would that make my car idle all crazy?

Depending on where the fuel is leaking, yes it will.

There are so many questions that need to be asked to properly diagnose your problem. Is your car tuned and if so by who? Dyno tuned? What kind of maf and injectors are you using? Have you changed them since your tune or did your tuner account for them?

A tune on a different car doesn't mean its going to work for your car. What kind of chip? Do you both have the same computer code? Was it dyno tuned?

It was my kit and yes same code. Darrel, I would DEFF. address the leaking injector for starters. That way you can eliminate taht for sure. Its hard to diagnose a problem when you have more then one...Fix your most obvious first. Call me if you need any help.

There is NO need for him to buy new injectors...Those are nearly new...Im sure he just slit an O-ring when installing....if you dont use alot of lube its easy to do. You giving this guy advice that is sooo far from what he needs right now..... There are alot of other factors that could be the culprit before you spend $200 on new injectors and $400 on a new tune.

Hey Scott, I felt bad for continually pestering you for answers, so I came to the forums. But you were right, it was the O-ring. Now everything runs perfectly fine (minus the leaky exhaust). That boost is INCREDIBLE and I don't even have the controller hooked up yet. I'll post some pics later on tonight. Oh, and I'll get your package out tomorrow or Monday. Thanks for everything dude, and sorry for getting your screenname wrong.

Thats cool Darrell...Im glad your happy. It will be ALOT better once you get the comtroller hooked up right. But just remember, every car is different so you really need to get it on a dyno just to check your a/f and whatnot. And dont worry a bit about pestering me, ill help anyway that I can.
