FI Tests, Testimonials

I tried searching the site but couldn't find anything in this regard. Has anyone done a test on one of Tom's turbocharged cars? How about the SC cars? I haven't seen anything where someone took one of these cars out and gave an objective report on what they thought. Is the car still daily driver friendly? Is it able to put the power down effectively. What are the downsides to going FI, etc... Maybe you could provide a link to a test like that? Anyone?

330whp, 19psi, 93 octane pump gas

FUN as SHIT to drive, daily driver

absolutly need to upgrade clutch and differential with this kind of power levels. Wheel spin in 1st, 2nd, sometimes 3rd...... but thats when I try to do it.

Can be driven as a normal car with ease.... dont stomp the gas and you dont make boost.

Would I do it again....... HELL YEA!!!! only with a bigger built motor

From what i have read the people that have Toms kits love them, I havent heard one complaint yet even with daily driving and fuel economy.

Out-of-the-box powerworks SVT 250 WHP/200 ft-lbs w/12 psi on 93 octane.

Daily driver. No driveability issues whatsoever ... temps from -20'F to 110'F and from sea level to Denver.

OE TSB replacement clutch holding up fine after about 10K miles thus far. Our other SVT probably has about 15K miles thus far (on OE TSB clutch). A couple of our base Zetec cars probably have 40-45K miles on them thus far (220 WHP/190 ft-lbs).

No other power mods ... yet.
