blowoff for diesel

is blowoff possible for focus's tdci( turbo diesel) engine?? do you have any idea? has anyone done it???

you don't need a blowoff in a diesel. diesel engines do not have throttle plates, therefore, you can never build up compressor surge like with a gasoline engine

some/ most or all???? so u say focus or common rail diesels don't need?? but anyway i want because of the cufffff or tsssssssss sound :)

exactly.

great reading between the lines

diesels usually do not have throttle plates. I'm sure you could rig up some kind of a blowoff for the diesel, but it wouldn't do anything except make noise. but if that's what you want, do it. everyone should want their car to be unique

most BOVs sound like a bus, i wouldn't even bother on a petrol turbo car. as for diesel some people in the UK have done it, it requires some work and the companies that do it charge 300 just make your car sound like a bus... no thanks.

i wanna see the diesels modified performance wise, no one in the UK i know of has replaced a turbo or intercooler, would be interesting what gains you could achieve.
