Problem with the spray

i was running a friend the other day and everything was going fine. i hit fourth about 3500 rpm and hammered down on the throttle and it stopped accellerating. i got off of it and let it fall to about 3000rpm and hammered it again and it stopped accelerating around 4000rpm. I turned the spray off and tried it again accelerating to 4k in fourth and nothing happened, it performed as usual. I also have noticed that when i get on it my car sort of hisses, this would inply that either my intake tube or my throttle body is leaking. Would this leak have anything to do with the spray acting up? currently running 75 shot with a zex wet kit. I run people for money all the time and if i can't run the spray im screwed so i need some help asap. thanks guys.

i think you need to find a new job.........I would go in and double check all your fittings and clamps and just make sure everything is tight and no leaks.

The tube doesn't seem to be the problem, although you could have a vacuum leak around the back on the intake manifold. Are you injecting the fuel/nitrous before or after the MAF?

the nitrous is after the maf. so if my throttle positioning sensor is wet how do i fix that and why would it affect the car the way it did?

I don't think it's the TPS. If you're hearing a whistling noise you probably have a leak somewhere, and if so, it's causing the nitrous to leave the intake.

sounds like a lose connection/vacumme leak. i had the same type of problem when my intake fell off, it ran but when you gave it gas it would lose power/nothing would happen. although it could be a bad MAF so check wireing see if its loose and check all clams and vacumme lines.

Funny.... same shit happens using meth injection. The TPS's are NOT water proof, Tom has a small fix kit for just such a problem.

When the TPS gets wet it trys to short out a little, eventually it goes out completly.

If your not running FI, then you really shouldn't hear a hissing noise all the time. I know the FC Throttle body whistles and so do ALOT of the intakes on the market.

The point is it doesn't do it when the NO2 is turned off, if it was a leak of some sorts it would do it all the time.

moisture on the tps sounds really fishy. the tps simply slides over the external portion of the throttle plate actuator protruding from the side of the tb. separating the exterior from the interior is a ball bearing that allows the actuator to rotate smoothly. i cant see how an NA engine with spray is gonna build pressure in the tb and force air/fuel/n2o through the bearing, out of the tb, and into the tps screwing it up. it just doesnt make logical sense to me. an fi engine is a different thing but im still skeptical.
