There are a few people on these boards that have the kit, but are not regular posters. I know "ampedout" has the non-aftercooled kit on his car try PM'ing him to find out

The kit was prety easy to install.. I was worried at first but I did roughly 90% of the work myself. I can not give a specific install time as I took over 6 days with about 4 hours of work a day give or take.

I was worried about the oil pan tap but it didnt turn out to be too bad. The supercharger and driveshaft was kinda rough as you have to install the driveshaft to the supercharger then connect the mount to the bell housing.

Overall I would rate it a 7 out of 10.
Beer was consumed through 50% of the install.

i had it, its a pain to tune. i spent about 1500 in dyno time and the tune still wasnt perfect. if your gonna spent the money your best bet would be to go with the powerworks kit or the focus sport kit..

Do you think that it could have been your tuner that was haveing a hard time tuning it instead. All F/I has its own quirks but it shouldnt of been that hard.

i bought it to 2 different dyno places that worked specifically with SCT. and we tried 3 different MAFs. so it was a pain in the a$$ but the car still ran ok, i did a 13.9 in the 1/4. but below 2500 rpms it ran real boggy. with the first tune it stalled all the time , nither dyno shop could figure out why they couldnt get it running real good, most i had was 239 whp and 195 ftlbs tq. but it was runnin real close to the danger side. so if you buy any kit make sure you have extra money to do extra tuneing. ive heard this from lots of people.

I never had any problem to tune my vortech with my SCT.

186 whp with the non cooled vortech kit tune with SCT (race headers, exhaust, maf, cam)

More to come with water/methanol soon

i had the tuner kit with a custom tune from C-F-M i got the kit the day it came out. its a nice kit, only real problem with it was what i stated and the fact the connector that attacket the compreswsor to the aftercooler kept falling off. it was a bad design, i almost crashed when it fell of on the highway and my car lost all power.
