psi

would 10-12 psi be safe on a stock block? or would i have to stay below 10?

also would i be able to run 8 aroudn town and then when i wan tto get on it boost it up to 12. an run a ported and polished head, turbo cams, cam gears, ported 200o mani, and anew valve springs and retainers, and not have to replace the bottom end yet or not?

10 to 12 yes , With proper parts and proper tuning this shouldnt be an issue

I wouldnt do anything to the engine with out doing it all at the same time , the bone stock engine will make 320+ at the wheels that shows the head and cams are not that bad with good boost

that depends on what octane you feel like running, how you define "SAFE" and who is doing the tuning.

IIRC, tom was doing over 18psi when he was pushing 300+ out of the stock motor on 110oct.
if your tuning was there you could probably push 15psi safely.... also depends on how you are doing it. Turbo? SC?

i have turbo, and by safe i mean i dont wanna blow my engine, im running 93 and somtimes 94 octane. the guys from ProTune performance are doing my tuning in manhiem PA. so prob no more than 15 psi on 93 octane? what if i put in 93 and put in that fuel additive that adds like 7 points?
