SVT Transmition

Should I moddify my trany before turbo, or run it till it breaks and replace the dammaged parts.
I think getting close on my DIY turbo and I know I'll most likely add a stronger clutch and possibly an aftermarket differental. Is there anything else that would make a signi***ant improvement.

This car will not see much time on the dragstrip or autoX and drivability is a main Issue with me "love the twisties". I want to be able to loan my car to my wife or family without having to explain quirks or odd driving of the car while standing up to running hard at the track.

Part of the trick is to not overdo the clutch. Go with something better than stock from your favorite aftermarket cluch company, but when it says track use only. Believe them... Stage 4 or 5 clutches are very very hard on internal parts. FYI. I would run the stock tranny and see what she can hold, you can always replace once it breaks.

You should do the tranny when you do the turbo or even before so the new clutch will have break in on it.

Doing the tranny is VERY expensive if you do it right.

Quaife, ClutchMasters stage 4 kit, and a Fidanza flywheel along with labor is around 2-2.5 thousand.

Big Power is not cheap........
