Have a couple of questions about turbo

ok, first.. i have a rebuild t25 from a 95 dsm i think the internal wastegate is set at 12psi, is there any way to lower the boost level??also, ive seen many different turbo setups isnt the maf supposed to go on the intake side of the turbo, and the bov should be about 12 inches from the TB...how big of charge piping should i use for running 10psi of boost i was going to use 2.5 inch, and one last question, should i use a log style manifold? just from looking there is something on the front of the block that the wastegate looks like it might hit

What is the stock compression ratio of the zetec, i was looking at some 9.0:1 pistons, what kingd of boost levels could i run with these

****Yes an adjustable arm to the pod or change the spring in the WG

also, ive seen many different turbo setups isnt the maf supposed to go on the intake side of the turbo,
****You can put the MAF either before or after the turbo

and the bov should be about 12 inches from the TB.
****BOV can be about anywhere depending on where you put the MAF

..how big of charge piping should i use for running 10psi of boost i was going to use 2.5 inch, and one last question,
****I would use 2 inch to the IC and from IC 2.5 to the TB

should i use a log style manifold?
****Every one has a Diff idea on that , I have a nice turbo manifold on my site

just from looking there is something on the front of the block that the wastegate looks like it might hit
****Yep there is , the breather can for the lower end

What is the stock compression ratio of the zetec, i was looking at some 9.0:1 pistons, what kingd of boost levels could i run with these
****About as much as you want 5 to 25psi

Tom

^ that depends on the weather conditions, hieght above sea level, your piping size and shape, your tune, etc. so its really tuff to say......but for a ballpark figure take 12 and divide it by the standard pressure for your area and then multiply that number by your current HP

buy a cheap ebay cold air intake kit and use that, all you need to connect it to the intercooler is a 180degree mandrel bend and it comes with a silicone conector that goes to your throttle body, thats what i did, works excellent, just use t-bolt clamps instead of whats supplied with it or you will blow the connectors right off the piping and TB
