SVT Jackson Racing Real Dynos

Im wondering if a Jackson Racing Super Charger on an SVT Focus Can make decent power on the dynos.
Wondering also if it is possible with water injection and big boost to reach higher numbers then the low 200 hp marks.

If yes, what are the #'s?

Anyone out there running a Jackson Racing with their Water Injection? (its like an intercooler for the intake manifold right?) Does that cool things down enough to make more power?

Anyone upgraded to big boost kit? (seems like ALOT of hot air is being thrown around with higher boosts on superchargers)

Suggestions, tips, mods on jrsc svtf?

Seems almost like its best to save the extra $1,500 and go vortech

id go with the vortec kit anyway...air/water intercoolers are extrememly efficient and that definitely adds to how much more power they make over jackson racing's kit. Im pretty sure they push similar boost out of the box. ive also seen a few kits run water injection, havent heard anything bad or good about it....

most jackson kits make 200-205 whp without anything else....big boost kit would probably get you to 220 whp. I think it only bumps the boost to 8 lbs however. kinda weak for $500 bucks.

id save for the vortec..IMHO. Jackson's kit wont make anywhere near as much power as vortec's...not a chance.

WOW.

Those numbers from the 42lb JRSC SVTF with 3" pully are actually really respectible.

Im very impressed. I didn't think a JRSC could make over 210hp...

How hard would it be to hook up the water/meth system since its not vehicle/kit specific?

Thanks for the awesome info!

yeah man, the jrsc is a lot better than most people give it credit for. sure the vortech kit gives you something like 230whp (276flywheel is what they claim, but i've never seen very high dyno numbers.), but the boost kicks in a lot later than jackson racing's eaton. the power comes on instantaneous with a roots blower (jr), while i believe the vortech is a centrifugal, and makes for a gradual, yet very powerful up top, boost of power. this would be killer for track time, but as far as a daily driver, i think you might be dissapointed by the curve. its pretty mild down low. i've talked to people running 14.5 or a little faster in the 1/4mile with the jrsc. with the big boost kit, a good clutch, and probably a limited slip differential, i'm sure you could nail 14 flat all day long. killing of a stock cobalt ss, srt-4, s2000, 04 or older mustang, and a buncha cars way faster than that with owners who can't drive
what else could a guy ask for!? (other than tom's 300hp turbo kit for 7g's, but hell, if you wanted to spend that much, you wouldn't be talking about super chargers now would you?)

i myself, plan on going with the jrsc kit with big boost, sometime within a year or two. for the money, its a great deal. you can have one of the tuning specialist (wayne or tom) take a whack at your set up too, and probably pull a few more ponies outta your cars arse, and i wouldn't doubt an increase in reliability!

i've seen jrsc kits as low as 2600 or 2700, add 500 for big boost=3200. the vortech kit, in satin finish, not the polished ooooaahh la la, is almost 5 grand, plus installation.

buy the jrsc, and you can get a lsd for a grand or maybe a little less, and centerforce clutch for like what, 600? add installation and you're probably at 6000 give or take a couple of hundred. if you got the vortech, you get that and non stop peg leg burnouts and a shot as hell clutch in 10k miles.

this is just my opinion. good balance of the entire drivetrain is crutial. anyone, feel free to critique what i just said, but in the land of the fiend, i'm right.

snoogens....

oh yeah, and am i the only one who remembers the dreaded sport compact magazine's vortech svt focus? it only dynoed at 220 something, and ran a pathetic 14.9 in the quarter mile!!! what the hell?! i know i started a thread on that a long time ago, when it came out. i don't know how to do that magic CLICKY thing, so someone else do it for me or search for it. i'll re-read the article tonight, and maybe i can scan some of the graphs and crap. someones gonna have to help me out with the magic words to summon them upon us though. not to hot with all the hubbub.

half those drivers in the magazines cant drive worth a damn. I remember that article...most of the cars making much more power we're running piss poor times anyway....there was room for improvment across the board.

THe SVT faired pretty well...i was real excited to see the vortec focus car show up in the list

What pulls harder street racing a boosted [8-9psi] Jackson Racing (with water injection) or a Vortech svtf?

Since you live in Cali, you probably want a CARB certified kit right ?

Also, the JRSC BBK comes with a tune created by Ford Racing/Jackson Racing.

The JRSC also looks cleaner IMO under the hood and no battery relocation required.
