Question J&S UltraSafeGuard Theory/Question

The last couple of days I've noticed the J&S showing a little bit of knock that I didn't have before. When dynoing it there was NO sign of knock at all.

Last night as I test drove the car I noticed some knock so I turned the boost down to 17psi from 19psi went out and retuned the J&S as per the instructions and everything was fine.

Today I was pulling out into traffic and got a couple of lights on the J&S, and its always while I'm up in the "good" power range. I slow down then get on it again and only 1 light comes on.

So I'm thinking what could have changed since the tune, all of a sudden it comes to me TRACTION CONTROL

While on the dyno you have to disable TC so you can run it without it automatically bogging the engine due to the front wheel spinning and the back wheels stationary.

So in the name of science I pull off onto a back road, turn TC off and pull out. 1st starts to spin around 5k, shift into 2nd and around 5k it starts spinning again(about 100ft of twin black marks), I grab 3rd... still no lights on the J&S so I let off and drive normal for a bit. I get to another deserted spot and try it again....

Everytime the the TC starts to work I get lights on the J&S.....

HERE'S MY QUESTION.....

Do you think when the J&S sees the timing being pulled by the Traction Control its registering on the J&S Knock/Retard gauge?

Again keep in mind that the "knock sensor" does more than just knock it also reads inefficient combustion meaning that a Cyl that isnt firing correctly can also trigger the "knock sensor"

I have seen bad plugs , rich condition , weak wires and many other things trigger the "knock sensor"

Add some good fuel and see if it goes away , If it does it was knock if it does not its other things
