Question Vortech and Blowoff Valve?

Is there any way to use a blow off valve with the Vortech kit?

I read a link for a search on Vortech BOV and it mentioned a Vortech Maxflo bypass valve, what is that? I also read somewhere at some point that someone used a BOV on there vortech kit.

Could you take off one side of the stock Vortech Bypass Valve and accomplish the same thing?

Also, are there really any gains from switching over to the metal bypass valve?

I am in it for the sound. Now, as for the Metal Bypass valve @ C-F-M, does it really have any benefits? And could you remove one tube from the bypass valve to create the BOV sound without damaging anything?

OMG!!! Frush. That's hilarious. I'm suprised the speakers don't have a "Type R" sticker on them.

See, for a BOV to work, you have to have excess pressure between the turbo and intake manifold, i.e. in the intercooler and intercooler piping. Where would you even mount a BOV on a supercharger and where do you plan to get the excess pressure to route through it to make it go PSSSHHHHHH?
Ok, I think at this point you are just trying to shoot this guy down. OF COURSE you can use a BYPASS VALVE, not blow off. Of course there is excess pressure in the intercooler of the supercharger when the throttle plate is closed, thats why Vortech uses bosch bypass valves. You can upgrade to a larger bypass valve which is pretty much any blowoff valve with a tube back into the intake tube before the supercharger.

Ive read about the fake BOV simulators before. LOL, man that was years ago. Funny to see that link again. I am interested to know the benifits (if any) of the Metal Bypass Valve from C-F-M.com?

I see no reason why it would'nt work, however, you are going to sacrifce performance for that sound because it will screw up your fuel mixture because the air you are venting has already been read by the MAF and you will run rich which will eventually kill your plugs and your cat. Most people don't use them on the Focus, not even the turbo guys.
