Anyone with tips for JR install

I'm going to be installing the JR kit soon with the BBK. Does anyone have any tips or things to look out for when installing. With doing some searching, i've found that the kits instructions are a little iffy.

Thanks for the info. I get home in two weeks so i'll be ordering it about the same time you are. I have A/C in my car so the belt won't be an issue. I'm going to order the steeda short ram also and probably the t/b from focus central. Majikmike said he called steeda and it fits. I'm going to upgrade everything once so it's just maintenance from there on. I've already got everything from the header back upgraded, so once this stuff is done i think i'm done with the engine. I think i'll have a nice little sleeper. Not the fastest car in the world, but enough for me anyway. I'm not much for flashy looking slow cars.

Hey, it looks like JR is selling the complete kit with new instructions for the entire JRSC and BBK install.

Also, it's only $2795 shipped but won't be shipping until October.

Edit:
I read the new instructions and it says that aftermarket intakes shouldn't be a problem with the new ECU tune.

I guess I might be re-using my Volant.

McNews is selling the JRSC w/BBK for about the same price. What will be the difference besides the instructions? I think i'll buy it from them. Your volant kit will still fit? I read over the instructions, it shouldn't be that bad. A weekend job at most.

when i installed mine i never left enough room for the bypass valve to rock back and forth between the charger and the firewall so when u install yours just remember to adjust the bypass position properly so when the engine rocks back it doesnt squeez to bypass up against the firewall......and good luck...its not that difficult if u follow the directions.

Ive got the Ford Racing BBK. Imstall was farily simple. The best part is ripping all that powercard tuning out of my engine bay. Looks so much nicer. Yep Jr just introduced those bad boys yesterday.

I believe thiers is the JRSC and the BBK in a package but not assembled together like the one listed on the FR website. Dunno. You should call McNews to get details.

I think i will call on that. The thing is that i'll have two weeks off from work when i get back starting on the 10th, giving me plenty of time to work on it. If I wait till October to do the install who knows when i'll have time again. Plus...I want it now damn it! :)
