Got Nitrous

Well, I'm still pretty new to this whole SVT Focus ownership thing and loving every minute of it but was wondering why I don't see any SVT owners running nitrous. I have experience in the power adder department with my blown 5Liter but was thinking more along the lines of trying a nitrous system on the SVTF in the future once the warrenty is up. Does anyone have any pointers on how these cars do with nitrous? I swore, I wasn't going to mod this car but, I'm not sure that I can keep it stock forever once the warrenty is up. I don't really have much of a desire to go with the bolt-ons because I hear that the mods like a catback or CAI don't offer a whole lot plus, I really like the sound of the factory Focus exhaust; which, is more than I could say about my mustang's exhaust when it was stock. Anyway, I was looking into several kits and while the NX systems deliver the most gains since measured by WHP over crank, I think the ZEX system is the most ideal kit for this car. I'm not a nitrous expert but ZEX seems to have the simplicity and safety thing down pat. Yes, I know its in the tune too; which, this car will get when the N20 time comes. So, any suggestions or experiences you guys wouldn't mind sharing? Enlighten me please. Thanks.

Shady isn't on these boards, I believe he told me, anymore.

I suggest the NX kit, ZEX is great and all but the NX is more tuneable in my opinion.

Also, make sure to get an MSD window switch as well. The throttle sensor isn't enough insurance.

copper plugs you'll end up replacing after every bottle, go with some denso iridiums they'll last alot longer. I've gone through a few bottles on mine and no sings of wear.

I appreciate all the great advice. I agree that the NX systems are probably better and all but was looking at the ZEX wet kits because of the simplicity with the NMU system. Having the solenoids hidden is a pretty cool thing. As for an MSD window switch, I wouldn't run any nitrous system without one. I'll give the NX kit a closer look as I compare it with ZEX. The plugs, I'll have to take the advice of using the Iridium plugs as I don't know anything about copper plugs and nitrous. All I do know, is that the coppers work awesome 2 heat ranges colder than stock on a blower car. Anyone else?

Zex's kit is ideal for an easy install and still get good power. I took off the zex wet box and installed the NOS power shot solenoids. They hit really hard.
