Does Tom's turbo come with a custom intake b/c in the picture it seems like a cold air kit or something. I was wondering if I could use the Focus-Central or Volant intake with it or if I have to use whatever is in that picture. Just want to know for future reference. Thanks.

its a turbo...pipe off the turbo down near the fogs where the filter sits... those intakes won't work.
not making fun of you, but if your looking at toms photo and you think that it looks like a cai...you need to do some research.

I just said that because it went down toward the ground and that's where CAI's go to attract the most air. I didn't know that it was a turbo pipe. It's better to ask and get the correct answer than not to know it right?

No problem. I have another question though...Will that turbo work with a stock motor? Basically, if you don't put any mods in it? I was going to stay NA but now that I see this turbo and I hear how good it is I might go with the turbo. of course I'll modify the engine anyway but if I bought it first would it be ok or should I build up the engine first?

would be fine on the stock motor at low boost...would just basically need an exhaust. toms kit comes with everything including fuel.

low 15s with some possible tranny work in the future. think about it like this... sea level atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi making 130 crank hp.... + 4 or 5 pounds of boost... making about 33% more hp which = 170 crank less 15% driveline loss to get u about 145-150 whp on low boost. those places that say 50% more hp pretty much get their figures by saying they make 50% more psi with the turbo vs naturally aspirated. not super accurate but gives u a ball park.
superchargers like the JRSC u can use an aftermarket intake on btw
