How well does the 2.0L handle Nitrous

doing some looking around my engine bay and found what looks to be a hole drilled in the inlet pipe for nitrous oxide :( wasnt too happy to find that. Does the focus engine stand up well to this? Do they have forged pistons or hypers?

Done correctly it is not a problem at all. Sounds like it was a wet system (if I am reading you correctly) which is even safer.

I melted a one step colder plug and when the prong came off and tried to go out a exhaust valve it hit the valve and chipped it on a 50hp wet shot. I dont think it was the nitrous's fault but if you look at my sig and see 98% of my mods are a result of this happening. I think the problem could be in the fuel injector harness that had a bad connection that caused the number 4 cylinder to quit giving gas into the cylinder and run lean. This type of stuff can happen tho but its fairly safe to do...............( at least thats what everyone says )

Oh yeah definatly plugged... Dont want unmetered air (vacumme leak) going in. So they do have forged pistons?

No forged internals, but they will hold up really well to a decent sized hit of nitrous. I wouldn't sweat it, really. I might change out the spark plugs when you get a chance. Nitrous is kinda hard on plugs.

True back when I ran nitrous that was a big issue until I changes to higher capacity plugs.

Colder plugs? That will help a bit with preventing Det.
