Question racing damage

Does anyone know what type of damage my engine might get from using nitrous to much? I did all the upgrades the shop told me to such as the throttle body switch and retarding the cams but I'm always worried one of these times its just gonna blow.

retarding the cams isn't as important as retarding the ignition timing. I'd recommend getting the car tuned to run the nitrous. if you're seriously wanting to run nitrous a lot, you need to build your motor with forged internals.

Nitrous is a safe and cheaper alternative to other FI routes, provided you remain within the specifications of your particular car/engine. Most of the time, there is little to no tuning at all required for a small shot of nitrous (45-60). So long as you make sure your fuel system, drivetrain, etc. can handle it. Do the research, use the experience of others to avoid making mistakes, it's pretty straight forward.

Now, when and if you want to start making serious power with Nitrous there are all the same considerations to take into account as if you were installing a T/C or S/C kit/setup.
