Mazdaspeed Protege turbo fits on SVTF?

I was talking to a guy at a dealership today, and he told me that you can take the turbo assembly from a Mazdaspeed Protege and bolt it onto the SVTF. Is this true? Has anyone heard about it? If so, is it an easy mod? I think that the exhaust would have to be redone, at the minimum.

Also, if you went to a junkyard, found a wrecked MSP, and wanted to take the turbo stuff, any ideas as to what it would cost?

i would imagine it would fit, as far as i know they are the same engine in the protege's as are in the focus, or atleast are very similar cause the AEM udp kit says it fits mazda and focus engines.

Ditto on Tom, the only thing shared on a svt and a regular Zetec is the block itself and the crank. Ford shows the same part#"s on these two items only. Like he said, it wouldnt make a difference anyway. You would be better off buying a kit from Tom because if you try to put together a kit yourself, youre gonna find out very quickly that youve spent alot of money on a bunch of parts that dont work together, then end up paying someone to fix that mess for you. Trust Tom when he tells ya something about turbo's.

i dont think from everything you could use yust the manifold because the turbo is for high compression engines you would max it out on yours. And the Manifold is built for smaller turbos and id i forget to mention that the mazda speed is a v6
