JRSC come w/programmer or tune

I was getting ready to order my jrsc and was wondering it the sc come with a tune or a reprogrammer. I already have a diablo preditor, but if the jrsc kit comes with one then I will just take my dp of and sell it or something.

The svt JRSC comes with it's own 'tuning device' that is nowhere near as good as the diablo. The JRSC 'powercard' is used to manipulate the injectors etc. for the blower. If you get yourself 42lb injectors and a diablo MAFia you'll see a substantial gain on the blowers #'s. The svtf jrsc generally dyno's around 195 whp and 160 lb/ft...with the above and your tuner I've heard people getting 220+whp and 180+ lb/ft with reliability. I was going to go that route but with the Ford Racing Big Boost Kit coming out shortly it's more cost effective for me to go that route (since I don't own a Xcal or diablo). The FR BBK consists of 42lb injectors, recalibrated MAF, 3" pully and belt (increasing boost) and you send in your cpu to get reflashed (2 day turnaround).

Can I continue using the diablo with the jrsc and the card. Do i need to take the jrsc off and just use the card or can I not use the card and the diablo burnt with a custom tune. If it gets to complicated I will just use the card take the dp off and get the big boost kit soon after.

I think you can use both. If you do I'd get someone to dynotune it to get everything just right....I'd ask this question in the FI forum, you may get someone with experience in this to give you a definate answer though.

Since you have the predator (and are in NC), contact Tom at Focus-Power. Pick up a set of 42 lbs injectors and a MAF and have Tom tune the Predator for you. If you can afford it, its the best way to go, and will be MUCH better than that black box that Jackson sends with the blower.

OR, sell the Predator, and purchase an Xcal2 from me, then pick up the injectors/maf and I will come up there to tune it for you.

^^^ Oh damn, Interesting. Nice to see a tuner willing to drive up and tune it. But yea, I would DEFINately have either tom or Wayne tune it. Will be MUCH better than the little black box that comes with the JRSC.

The black box is an essential unit for the proper operation of the supercharger. It increases fuel via injector timing when under boost conditions. This is imparative for avoiding detonation. Even if a chip is programmed for a boost vehicle, the computer and/or chip still cannot detect boost conditions and compensate for the increased air pressure. DO NOT REMOVE THE BOX!! If you have any questions about the charger call Jackson Racing's technical department. Their main number is listed on jacksonracing.com.
