Powerworks Demo Car

For everyone local who didn't come to Carlisle, you missed a good chance

So, Who drove the powerworks car at Carlisle this weekend ? What did you think?

I drove it along with Tony D. From New edge and Jeremy from Focussalvage.. For starters we had some serious weight in that car with 4 "full grown" adults. The powerworks blower didn't seem to notice.
I thought the car worked VERY well. The tune is to be applauded, it would not lug or buck or run crappy , no matter what you tried to do with it. We had a few opertunities to drive the car fairly quickly and it was the same under boost. It had a good tune and pulled quite well. The torque off the bottom was right there. The car made boost quickly and showed no signs of heat problems or issues at all..You could put your grandmother in this car and she would never no it was boosted unless she mashed the throttle..

What did anyone else think that drove it???

I think VR6's better move the fudge out of the way of a silver sedan..........like Viney said, my butt was wedged in the rear of the sedan of the test drive..........driving in town, couldn't tell the blower was there, very little noise(only when you really get on it), tuned well........nice package......

Never driven a focus with one..so I can't say..I've driven a focus with a 50 shot and a 75 shot of nitrous and the powerworks car as well as a Rousche turbo kit...You know what..for as much bickering as goes on over all these kits.. They all put a big smile on your face.. As long as the tune is good so they are driveable then the work great !!

Glad everyone liked it ... we racked up lots of (s)miles - esp ZX3_Chick ;)

Silver sedan managed 34 MPG going to Carlisle Thurs ... got 30 MPG on the return trip.

Averaged about 22-23 MPG over all the test drives.

My kit goes on this week, so I'll let everybody know what I think. On the test car, did you still have the stock clutch installed? I'm just curious as to how mine'll hold up.

I later found out we have a Centerforce clutch on the demo car - same as available thru FRPP.

We have plenty of other cars running around on stock clutches w/o any issues though.
