ive herd they are about the same. im going to go msd and then get and ignition upgrade. but yeah the stock coil and plugs are said to be fine anyway. i just want to see if it really does make the car idle smoother.

I can't tell that it makes any difference at idle. Maybee a little more on the partial throttle torqe but that's seat of the pants and not enough to say for sure. also I did not set my gap to the recomended .65 for NA only .60 maybee thats the reason

Hey Malcolm, Chris, the guy with the other focus on TLP has the MSD. He says that it makes the car pull smoother in all gears and the idling characteristics are greatly inproved. Ask him about it.

I have seen no change in HP or TQ from upgrading the Coil

You can take the gap to .065 with all the stock ignition stuff as well

If were talking boost below 12 to 14PSI id say no , Im making over 500 on the stock coil and think its fine

If you can go .065 with factory ignition how much more could you go with the upgraded Performance distributors or msd it kinda makes me want to try .070 or .075
