Arrow Tom, your input is needed.

Tom, Ive read in a few posts that if one was to go with a SC it would be the Vortech. Also, as of late, you mentioned "Vortech for many reasons".

Can you ellaborate?

Thanks Tom..

When i said "Vortech for many reasons".That was when someone asked if one was to choose between the Vortech kit or the FS SC , For many reasons i would choose the Vortech kit , That is where that comes from

Let me make this clear , In my opinion TURBO is still the only way to go , We all strive to make more power and TQ , why lessen that with a SC

Sorry Tom.. I gotta say it.
He says go with Vortech because he sells it!

Now to his credit, he wouldn't sell it if it wasn't something he thought was worth while but the largest reason for him saying to go one route over another is because he is a vendor for the product.

Personally I love the Vortech other than the extremely complex install the kit is very solid and capable! The aftercooler is extremely efficient and vortech has a decent rep in the industry.

Now having said that, I would also take a look at the powerworks setup. Tom wont suggest it and he has his reasons (I would wager none of his reasons have anything to do with the hardware itself), but the kit is also one to take a look at. The only downfall to the kit is it's a roots blower. But it overcomes this downside by being intercooled. And the fact that it is engineered by Cosworth can only give you the confidence that it was built correctly. It offers a Flat Torque curve. More torque than the Vortech will offer and the seat of the pants feel is pull all the way through the power band.

Unfortunately Powerworks is caught up in California politics right now so their kits are waiting on shelves ready to be released but are unable to do so until that issue is resolved. At least that's what I believe to be happening.

Dont get me wrong the vortech is also solid and I think either kit is a pick-em. But there are other alternatives that are worth a look. Even procharger (though it is my least favorite of the bunch) has upsides.

The Focus Sport SC is not the PowerWorks kit. Look at their site again. They sell the PW, but they have their own in the works too. Theirs is also Centrifugal.

Please re-read my post. Did I ever say the FocusSport kit was the powerworks kit. In fact did I ever mention focusSport?

I know FocusSport pretty well and yes I know what the FS supercharger is. My post wasn't in response to Tom.. It was a response to the first post.

Tom, I was fully aware of the comment you made and how it was related to the "which one" thread. I may be purchasing a SC or TC, I may not be. No reason to sway my thoughts. The question still stands and I would like to know your thoughts on the Vortech kit. Please, spare no details..

Well, then you re-read Toms. His says FS (FocusSport) that's where I was coming from, don't be such an a$$ about it. I wasn't rude to you, so can't we all get the same respect.

Where was I rude? You made a wrong assumption...
And I was typing my post when Tom posted. I didn't even see his post until after I posted. What is your deal?

Tom, I have 3,000.00 exactly. I recently lost my job but would am interested in FI. Can you sell me everything needed to install your Turbo setup? Also, I live on the west coast, how would I get it installed and tuned properly? If you could solve the above problems, no doubt I would go turbo.

Now, with a Vortech, I could purchase it from c-f-m and have a local vortech dealer install it for me and perhaps tune it.

What would you suggest?

How is that kissing Toms ass? I said nothing about Tom except for that it came from his post. I didn't make a wrong assumption. That's the one that Tom was comparing it to when the guy asked. He never mentioned the PW. I thought you made a mistake and was trying to help. You then come on here and are like "I know all about Focus Sport and what their SC is." , like you know everything. That's where you were being rude. Sorry that offended you so much. Geez.
