Question going turbo (which one?)

Alright I'm done with the supercharger/turbo debate. I've decided to go turbo my SVT
My next delima is which turbo. As far as I can tell I have 3 options...

1)http://www.focus-power.com/view.php?showme=SVT_Kit
at 5,800 dollars this seems very steep for an estimated 240 HP

2)http://www.turbo-kits.com/focus_turbo_kits.html
for 4,000 you get differnt components, but boasts 260hp. However I don't believe it comes with any tunning. But I could self tune it and still be under 6,000

3)piece it all together.... buy parts from here and there

I have the money for any of these options, but if I can save money, I want to.
So anyone let me know what you think, which one is better, easier, etc...
tom, jesse, and any other turbo guru post, facts, opinions, experience are all welcome, I just want to get some decent numbers but don't want it falling apart or damaging my car.

and I'm not here to start a flame war between turbo-kits and focus power I just want some info. and if there are other turbo options out there that I don't know of, please post them.

-Blake

Edit.. nevermind, you have an SVT.

I'd say Toms out of those 3 options.

They dont even tell you what trim turbo they use....thats gay...I would figure out what size turbo first because if its a GT40 or 60-1 you'll get full boost pretty late...on my srt-4 full boost is around 3600 on a 60-1...and a 50 trim is at 3200...so figure out what turbo, how much power you want to make, and go from there. 50 trim will make about 480whp at most before it says I quit...60 tirm will do about 530whp, 60-1 will do upper 500's and GT40 will do 600+...just to give u a basic break down...

it seems to me tom gives whp while turbo-kits.com gives hp that would be something to think about. i think i read somewhere that you can firgure that there will be a 15% hp loss at the wheels therefore turbo-kits 260hp is about 220whp. but that is just a quess

I am working on puting together a Euro-Spec Turbo Kit.

Trying to decide between all stock Ford RS components or upgraded RS aftermarket.

Most likely will be offered in different stages for those like yourself who are thinking about
perhaps getting a starter/tuner kit with just exhaust manifold and turbo, and then Stages in between up to the monster all inclusive Euro-Spec Kit.

I have been in contact with 4 companies in the UK already regarding the procurement of these parts for the kit and will have more information soon. PM me if you are interested.

I am still getting pricing and options sorted.

Thanks,
Brian

FOCUS-POWER
Lifetime warranty, all piping , manifold , intercooler
1 year unconditional on the turbo
Oil pan with bung welded in
Tuning , Predator or optional ProRacer , no one had done more tuning with the SVT than focus-power

focus-power turbo kits are proven for 3 years now and they have the power potental of 325+HP at the wheels with out having to but stages of kits

There is NO turbo kit for the Focus that has more potential a better warranty or comes more complete , To get all that it cost money ,

Tom

Predator is a hand held unit that takes the tune from your PC (also a tune comes in it ) and loads the tune into your car through the OBDII port

It is also a scan tool , datalogger , and checks and clears the CEL ,

The ProRacer is a full self tuner giving the end user the ability to have 100% controle over the parameters , It comes with a chip , burner , cables and software and with the deal you get the Raptor that is a scan tool and logger , If you get them from me the ProRacer cost 750.00

There is only 1 real SVT turbo kit out there. Right Tom. You will also get the tech support you need the SVT is a tougher car to tune than the Zetec.
