you need to worry more then just the tranny if you want that kind of power. I heard doing 250 on a non built engine is pushing it.

I recommed hitting 200 first then go from there.

Actually, you have to worry about the torque as much as the hp.
Like Z3tunr said, their are a lot of things to worry about above 200hp.
suspension parts, steering parts, torque steer, engine mounts, etc.

are you asking how much before it gets a "hole", or how much can it "hold"?

the manual gear box should be ok to around 300torque at the fly but then it depends on how you do drive. Rally starts that would soon add wear to the gearbox internals. also its good to about 160MPH, its more about Torque and topspeed then BHP. (granted that BHP normally mean higher top speeds) I personally bought a competition built gearbox with Quaife ATB LSD guaranteed to 350Ft lb torque. and should see 176MPH.

but as others have said there's alot more to worry about then just the gearbox.

I have taken the MTX-75 to 480TQ at the wheels (about 550TQ at flywheel) hundreds of times with both drag racing and road tracks and all i had was a LSD installed

You dont need to do anything but add a LSD there are a few companys that like you to think you need to add a lot of stuff to the MTX-75 but you dont

No one could of beat on the MTX-75 any harder than i have and it never one time gave me any issues for 3 years till i went ATX

The most i have done on the Getrag is 350TQ at the wheels (about 400TQ Flywheel) again with nothing more than a LSD
