Question am i going to melt my fan?

I'm in the process (next three days) of fitting a t3 super 60 to my car. I am using a jgs log manifold. The turbo is positioned about 1cm away from the oil separator. It will have a little room in the front.

My first question is, if it isn't touching the fan, will the radiant heat from the turbine still melt my fan?

A second question is, how much room will a fal 190 give me? Is it going to be an additional inch? two inches?

Another question yet, how will i wire up the fal fan if I get one? Since I will be using the sct pro racer, will I just plug it into the low or high speed fan output, then program the ecu to turn it on when I want it on, and keep it on as long as I want?

I hope this is the last of my delimmas...

preemptive thanks,
nick

As far as the fan you splice it into the stock wiring, and you could also run a separate switch so you could operate it when you want, such as when you are staging for the 1/4 mile or in between autox runs.

But the stock wiring has two outputs. Which would I use. The pcm tells each individual fan to come on at it's own indivudualized ect range.

I haven't looked at the wiring yet, but there should be a + - and a signal lead, probably a ground too.

+ and - (possibly a ground too) need to be hooked up to the stock wiring, and the signal lead needs to be hooked up.

You can splice the signal lead so that you can have a switch in the cabin.

Brian

PS. If someone has the factory wiring diagrams that would help a bunch.
