just in the midst of planning an FI car, may not be mine (at least not FI my car for another yr since im low on funds) but i know someone looking into it :) and 'knowledge is power' lol naw its just good to know everything...and plus there is nothign wrong with knowing what your cars temps are without FI, its actually good to know what it is before the FI and after the FI to compare. People just sometimes slap it on without knowing what the stock numbers are.

air fuel is a basically useless guage unless you go wideband. really, all it is is flashy lights.

an egt guage is a fairly important one. itll let you know just based upon temps if youre running to lean, or if something is getting out of wack. its very good to know when your about to melt a pison

boost, egt, and a wideband o2

But what if it is wideband? I wouldn't have just a flashy light system having spent a lot of money on the car.

if its wideband then its good, but the 60 dollar autometers dont do entirely too much

That maybe true but the gauge just supplies the information the omex management does all the important stuff.
