Is this website correct about this turbo?

Hi guys..... I was wondering if this turbo will really put you at 225whp on 87 octane gas with the Zetec motor.

http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...ROD&ProdID=401

Do those #'s seem right? or do you think they are sugarcoated?

Also......... the lower you are at sealevel the more HP you produce, correct?

Cause, where I live is about well....... anywhere from 0-56 feet above sea level, if I were to purchase this kit would I see #'s as good as this site says?

I have that kit.... no way will you do 225 WHP on 87 with it..... or with any other turbo kit for that matter.

The highest I put down with mine, with some custom mods, was 227.3 whp.... but that was on 92 octane and water injection.

I also have a question about driveabillity....

With the turbo installed will the motor last? be reliable? dailydriveable?

Will it still pass emissions?

Well i think most will tell you, as long as you get it mapped properly the motor should last a very long time.

I also have a question about driveabillity....
****That will depend on the tuner and his abilities

With the turbo installed will the motor last? be reliable? dailydriveable?
***Again engine life mostly depends on the tuner and the tune , If you get a good tune and know what the limits are , I have people running mid 13`s 250HP at the wheels and has been doing it for right at 3 years with my kit

Will it still pass emissions?
****This kit like the rest you have to remove the CAT and they are not CARB legal

wow, i have never heard of that kit from Blasst Performance. And its cheap too! only 2400! it claims to give 70-90hp over stock. Thats not too much, but its not bad.

What do you think about this kit Tom?

Two 450 cc/m
Digital Auxiliary injectors controller
Simple and quick tuning without the need for a laptop or dyno
**** No tuning comes with the kit and i GUARANTEE you engine trouble , In my opinion no tuning is safe with out either a dyno shop with wide band and datalogging or a GOOD incar wide band O2 , EGT Gauge and datalogging equipment , 2 42lb injectors wont make up for the 4 that are needed to safely run the Zetec engine ,What is the " Digital Auxiliary injectors controller " Going to do when you peg the mass air at about 4800 and it stops telling the PCM to add more fuel through the stock injectors , Then there is timing , with out timing addressed on the Zetec engine it is just a time bomb and , How long is the fuse ?

6 months WARRANTY on all components
****?????
Possibility to crank up the boost up to 12 psi without having to upgrade or add any components of this turbo kit.
****Wont happen for long see above

-Possibility to customize or upgrade any aspect of your turbo kit on inital purchase or later
****This is where most companys make there money on turbo kit , With a kit like mine all of these above issues are addressed and if you want more boost later and 99.9% of the people do my kit is good to 320HP with nothing to buy later

Loose the 5th and 6th injector add a mass air and chip with proper tuning and this kit will most likely be good with higher octane added to 10 to 12 PSI maybe even 15
