Race Header with Turbo Setup?

If one has a turbo setup in there focus, do they keep the race header or does it come with a new one? Just curious if I should buy a race header or not if in the future I am planning on getting a turbo.

Rob

a turbo should come with a shorty header or uses the stock manifold, I'm not sure. You can go to the turbo forum and find more info.

the aerocharger turbo kit used the flexpipe section for turbo mounting.. so any exhaust manifolds were kept in tact..

you *could* get brave and make a manifold out of a race header, that'd be new and interesting

It depends on how long its going to be before you get the turbo...and if you're willing to buy a race header only to take it off again and lose money on it. I'd guess you could get back maybe 2/3rds of whatever you spend on the race header if you sell it used here or on e-bay. IMO you'd be better off just using whatever manifold comes with the turbo kit because it'd save you money in the long run. I somehow doubt that using a race header would give you signifcant gains over a typical turbo manifold, at least not enough to justify the extra cost.

Check out the Steeda turbo kit. It comes with everything you need. Im not sure if you can keep your race header or not. But I think theres a possibility that you might be able to.
