you could use 2.25 exhaust but for the best flow you would want 2.5,and to answer you question no it wont work

your dual idea is gonna be more trouble than its worth. You can run with a 2.25inch exhaust but its gonna hurt your power up top. 2.5 inch is better but a 3 inch and up exhaust system is optimal. You can get a good 3 inch exhaust from www.trubendz.com .

Actually, 2 1/2" would be perfect, you really don't need 3" IMHO.

And you are basing this on what exactly? I guess there's no reason why with the most popular turbocharged cars (Evo, turbo'd 240's, Supras, DSM's) they dont even consider going anything less than 3 inches then huh.

Its not that it wont work its just that it would be cheaper and easier to just get a straight up 3 inch exhaust. By the time you get the dual exhaust to work you will have spent the same if not more money than the 3 inch for the same if not worse results. Also your dual exhaust would have a bottleneck in it where the air flows into the seperate exhaust pipes.

I just read in a post some where that they were working on a dual exhaust kit. Hypnotic may be??? I doubt anything in your current exhaust would work in his kit. ZETEC3 is right its not going to improve your performance over a 3" single. Duals are just bling.

i would only get a 3" exhaust if you are going for big power......2.5 is good enough as long as you arent after 300 whp, which is pretty hard to achieve and still have a daily driver
